Bower Earns First Star as Flour City Drops Opener

Karyn Bower stripped the puck from the opponent's stick in the neutral zone and deked the goalie on a breakaway to prevent a shutout as Flour City dropped it's Winter season opener 7-2 to White Russians. During the next shift Shane Bertou scored on an end board feed from Mike Trinidad to add another tally for FC. Anthony Paola made 19 saves in a backup start. Tyler Jervis made his Flour City debut.

The IAHL D- team dropped their season opener to Eagle Drills by a score of 6-3. Flour City took an early lead but was unable to stave off the Drills attack. Kevin Dale, Carl Holmes and Anthony Latore each tallied goals in the context. Frankie Golojuch made 30 saves.

It was the Flour City debut for Andy Stoessel and Dan Schur.
