Flour City Wins IAHL Novice+ Championship in OT

Flour City Hockey Club defeated Moose Juice 5-4 in a thrilling overtime game to claim their second IAHL Monday Novice+ championship.

JP Freel stuffed in a rebound from a shot from Zak Sadwick with under two minutes remaining in sudden death overtime to seal the victory for FC.

Flour City jumped to an early 4-1 lead on goals by Zak Sadwick, Doug Keller, Karyn Bower and Freel. The Moose Juice attack was relentless in the game's final 20 minutes. They scored the game tying goal with just seconds remaining in regulation to force overtime.

Frankie Golojuch turned away 46 shots and earned the game's first star. JP Freel and Karyn Bower were awarded the second and third stars respectively.
